Your RECO registration with a brokerage is what allows you to practise real estate in Ontario. Even without TRREB or another real estate board membership, you can still represent buyers and sellers, complete leases, earn referral fees and close transactions with full brokerage support. Board membership gives you access to certain board services. It does not determine whether you can remain licensed or conduct real estate transactions. No board membership required.
